Artist’s Note on the first Six prints:
This set of prints was produced by a French publisher, Delta Print, which operated out of Guernsey, Channel Islands. The prints were intended primarily for export to English speaking countries, America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia et. al., targeting of course the nostalgia of ex-patriot Brits.
However, I do know that some of the prints also finished up in Japan, because a London auction house phoned me one day to say that a collector had contacted them to ask for their help in obtaining original paintings of mine believing for some unexplained reason that I had died in 1895. The original paintings were significantly larger that the prints – all 277mm x 285mm, through galleries (of which two went on to Germany). I kept the remaining two myself (Not For Sale). I understand the Delta Edition is now out of print and we are in the process of producing a new edition of our own.
